1965 Mustang Fastback

This page will chronicle the restification process of my 1965 fastback.

I bought this 65 2+2 from a close friend and co-worker.  He bought the car from his Uncle and owned the car about 4 years.  The Uncle lives in Arizona and was the second owner of the car.  The car is an original Arizona car with factory air.  It came with a 289 2V and 3-speed transmission but the 3-speed was swapped out for a 4-speed somewhere along the way before my friend bought it.  When I bought the car from my friend, it came with a trailer full of NOS, new, and refurbished parts.  The entire drivetrain has been rebuilt and runs like a dream.  Amongst the parts I acquired with the car were a restored 4V intake and carburetor that I plan to swap in place of the current 2V setup.  I plan to restore the car mostly original with some upgrades like T5 tranny, nicer seats, and 4 wheel disc brakes.  Below are some pictures of the car today:
